Casual Sunday

Hej med jer,

(English summary below)

Long time no see! I believe I owe you a couple of posts 😉 Back from NYC, but without a photo storm. Left me camera at home and there was no time either to run around playing fashion blogger/photo tourist.

I am back with an OOTD from today. I have been sick the past couple of days, so I just had to get out a little. It is total casual (as casual as it gets for me) with jeans and sneakers (my new Steve Madden Hilights from NYC).

OOTD – From day to evening

Hi guys,

I wanted to show you an outfit I wore on Friday. Often on Fridays you go out after work and don’t have time (read: do not want to spend valuable cocktail time) to go home and change. Therefore I usually wear something that can go from day to evening easily (should the Friday drinks evolve into an all night bash).

I was wearing a couple new favourites among others the fantastic Rosie skirt from Carmakoma. It is such a great wardrobe stable! It transforms easily from day to night and it stays in shape all day (and all night) because of the jersey fabric. Also the stiching in the front creates a diversion away from your tummy area.

The office look:

Rosie skirt – Carmakoma // Nude jersey and pleather jacket from H&M (straight size L) // Black lace top – Vero Moda // Black overknee Elvo boots – Duoboots.com // Nude/black/grey scarf – Black Lilly

To convert this outfit into evening, I would turn up the volume a little on the make-up and the accessories (rings, earings, necklace, bracelet) and then just take off the jacket and scarf.

After work look:

OOTD – Autumn in the forest

Hi guys,
Today was a really beautiful autumn Sunday so I decided to grab my camera (Canon EOS 400D) and go for a walk in the forest to look at (and capture) some autumn scenes. I really love this time a year (when it is not raining of course) the changing colours of the trees, the crispness in the air and of course the chance to get out the knits and scarves again 😉

Here is some pictures of the autumn forest.

My teeny tiny blue flowery car in the forest “parking lot”. Isn’t it just cute in the sunlight? 😉

I also managed to get some pictures of my outfit with the beautiful forest as a backdrop. I wore the grey sweater (also mentioned here), my favorite scarf and the Adidas sneakers I bought in Boston.

Grey sweater – HM (straight line)//Black leggins – HM (BiB)//Nude scarf – Black Lily//Black and grey sneakers – Adidas//Grey Studded bag – Liebeskind Berlin

I know that a plus size girl in leggins and an oversize tunic or knit is kind of a klichee, the stereotypical fat girl, but I really don’t care about fashion rules or being a klichee. I wil wear what I want and what I like, no matter if it is a micro mini skirt or leggins. I like the oversize trend and leggins are just so comfy for a sunday afternoon.

OOTD – Waxed Jeans

Hi guys,

I wore my new waxed jeans from Ellos (the Scandinavian branch of Redcats). I bought them a few weeks ago, but did not love them immediately. I had wanted a pair of waxed jeans for a long time, but had not been able to find any in my size, so when I saw these, I had to get them although I found them a bit mumsy. They were to wide in the legs (from the knees and down), so I decided to try and sew them in to get a more slim look. I think I was quite successful. In general I do a lot of customizing of my clothes, I find that it is often necessary to tweek a little here and there to get the right fit.

Sorry about the unfriendly expression, I was concentrating hard on getting the remote to connect with the camera 🙂

Waxed Jeans – Ellos // Tank top – H&M // Jersey Jacket – Object by Vila // Scarf – Black Lily // Shoes – Deichman // Necklace – Day, Birger et Mikkelsen

Hmm, these two are a little bit mug shoot’ish. Note to self: smile a little the next time

A couple of close-ups of my favorite scarf from Danish accessories brand Black Lily. They do fabulous bags, wallets, clutches, scarfs and belts. I use it for a tiny bit of colour (if a mix of nude, a fleck of navy and grey can really be characterized as colour) and it goes with almost everything.

Waxed jeans – Ellos // Grey flats from Deichman shoes

Close-up of shiny jeans and shiny shoes 🙂 I really think these jeans will be a favorite this season.

And shiny grey nails… It was my intention to get more colour into my fall/winter wardrobe, but I must admit, it is easier said than done. I always end in grey or black in the end. I must try a little harder next time 😉
